Van valami valahol...

Ha azt szeretnéd elmondani, mi van körülötted, akkor ilyeneket mondasz: van egy asztal, vannak padok, van három felnőtt, van sok szék ...

Angolul ez így hangzik: there's a table, there are desks, there are three adults, there are a lot of chairs ...

Megfigyelheted, ha egy dologról beszélsz, akkor egyes számot használsz, a mondatod így hangzik:

There's a ball on the table. There's a woman behind the table.

Ha kettő vagy annál több dologról van szó, akkor a főnevet többes számba kell tenned, a mondat így helyes:

There are books next to the table. There are three books under the pen.
